A man found in a field Friday afternoon near East Pikes Peak Avenue and South Academy Boulevard died from a gunshot wound, according to autopsy results the El Paso County Coroner's Office released Monday. The 22-year-old man was a transient, and Colorado Springs police have not yet released his name because "detectives continue to investigate his death," according to police spokeswoman Catherine Buckley. When asked to clarify, Buckley said in an email that the name would not be released "due to investigative needs."
