A woman was arrested on three counts of suspicion of first-degree murder Thursday after she repeatedly rammed her minivan into the apartment of her ex-boyfriend on Colorado Springs' west side - narrowly missing a woman and two children who were inside at the time, police said. Carol Gallegos, 56, fled the scene in the minivan and later triggered a four-car wreck, police said. Police Lt. Dave Gilman said he was unaware of any injuries at the apartment or in the accident other than Gallegos, who was being treated for a ruptured spleen at Penrose Hospital. She was expected to be hospitalized for a couple days, then would be taken to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center, he said. Read more...
