This year has been a good one for Colorado Springs-area homebuilders - and it's not over yet. The number of building permits issued for the construction of single-family homes in the Springs and El Paso County totaled 2,566 during the first 11 months of 2015, already exceeding last year's total by nearly 5.5 percent, according to a report Tuesday by the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department. In November, single-family permits totaled 197, almost 53 percent higher than the same month last year, the report showed.
